Reorganisation

Sociaal plan Signify

When you as an employee at Signify are faced with dismissal due to a reorganisation, the Central Social Plan (CSP) 2025–2028 gives you important rights and certainties. On this page you can read what you can expect in terms of guidance, severance payment, and legal support. This way you know exactly where you stand and why it is sensible to Arbeidsjurist Eindhoven in te schakelen.

Who does the Signify Social Plan apply to?

The CSP applies to all employees on a permanent contract at Signify who fall under the collective labour agreement (CAO) and are declared redundant due to a reorganisation. The plan runs until the end of 2028. Its aim is to support employees in finding new work and to soften the financial consequences of dismissal.

Work-to-work guidance and training budget

Are you made redundant? Then you immediately get access to a work-to-work programme via an outplacement agency. During working hours you may take part in application training, networking and other guidance activities. In addition, Signify provides a training and employability budget of up to 5,000 euros (excluding VAT). You can use this budget up to three years after the end of your employment for training that strengthens your labour-market position.

Redeployment within Signify

Signify first checks whether there is a suitable position for you within the company. A suitable position is comparable to your current job in terms of level, salary and travel time. You are required to cooperate actively with redeployment, including any additional training or retraining. If you refuse a suitable offer without good reason, your right to severance pay lapses.

Severance pay on dismissal at Signify

Upon dismissal you will receive a severance payment. The amount is calculated using whichever method is most favourable to you: the old subdistrict court formula (for years of service up to 2015) or the statutory transition payment, multiplied by a factor of 1.75. For voluntary departure or the place-maker scheme, lower factors apply. The payment is capped at the loss of income up to your retirement age.

Reimbursement for legal and financial advice

Signify reimburses €550 for legal advice and €450 for financial advice if you are faced with dismissal. This amount can be used to have your settlement agreement checked by an independent employment lawyer, such as Arbeidsjurist Eindhoven.
